Family Assistance Fund
Purpose:
Family Assistance funds support the Northeast Community Center’s mission to foster the growth and development of children and families. We recognize that without access to basic essentials, children and families cannot thrive. This initiative helps bridge urgent, time-sensitive gaps until more permanent resources can be connected.
Eligibility:

Families enrolled in Harmony Project KC have primary eligibility.

Families residing in the Historic Northeast may be eligible under special circumstances.

Income eligibility: The child must qualify for free/reduced lunch and/or have a family income at or below 125% of the Federal Poverty Line.
What can be covered:
Housing, utilities, food, medical care/supplies, mental health support, dental, vision, clothing, travel, hygiene, legal/immigration*, burial expenses, and other urgent family needs.

Amount awarded depends on family size, income, community resources, and available funds.

This is a limited funding opportunity; families are encouraged to apply no more than once per year, unless there are extraordinary circumstances.
